GOVCP754

2024 (56th) Edition  - NEW EDITION JUST RELEASED!

US Coast Pilot 7 provides supplemental navigation information for the coast of California. The newest Coast Pilot 10 (which will be released end of June) features Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and the Pacific Islands.  It is intended to be used in conjunction with official navigational charts.

The United States Coast Pilot® is a series of nautical books published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Office of Coast Survey that cover a variety of information important to navigators of coastal and intracoastal waters and the Great Lakes. Issued in nine volumes, the Coast Pilots contain supplemental information that is difficult to portray on a nautical chart.

Topics include channel descriptions, anchorages, bridge and cable clearances, currents, tide and water levels, prominent features, pilotage, towage, weather, ice conditions, wharf descriptions, dangers, routes, traffic separation schemes, small-craft facilities, and Federal regulations applicable to navigation.

US Coast Pilots are updated on a yearly schedule according to volume, and the current edition may be dated for the previous year. Weekly updates are available to review and print on NOAA's website here.
